A paragraph of history

Many historical events and legends are associated with these places. According to one of the legends, in ancient times, during a brutal, bloody war, one of the commanders of the Yang clan defeated a military camp at the foot of Tiantzi Mountain. The war was not in a hurry to complete, and the descendants of the Yang clan spread to these lands, because of which later this area began to be called Yangjiajie, which in Chinese means "Jan land." And to this day, there are many burials of members of the clan Yan.

What to see

Zhangjiajie, established in 1982 (and soon inscribed on the Unesco World Heritage List), is China's oldest national park. Its territory is approximately 13,000 square meters. km. The natural beauties of Zhangjiajie are delightful and diverse: they are high mountains with foggy peaks, which are suddenly replaced by dense green forests. Here live about 500 species of animals, including civet, salamander and a huge number of different birds, and many of the rarest plants, such as gingko, mahogany, etc.

And in the park there is a warm and fairly humid climate, but despite this, there is no suffocating heat or severe cold, which makes these places attractive throughout the year and for people with absolutely different "climatic" preferences. The average temperature in the summer is + 27 ° C, and on the coldest winter days it is about 4, 5 ° C.

According to Zhangjiajie, you can walk indefinitely, enjoying breathtaking views of these places, and watching the life of an unusually rich animal kingdom here. Certainly worth visiting are local attractions: the cave of the Yellow Dragon, the Buddhist Temple of Heaven's Gate, Tienmenshan Mountain.
