On the site of the runway of the closed airport Kaitak, a park in the aviation style was opened. The new Kai Tak Runway Park operates around the clock.

Along the whole park there is an exposition with photos that introduce visitors to the history of the airport. The park also opened a 270-meter walking area along the embankment.

Kaitak Airport served as the main air haven of Hong Kong from 1925 to 1998 and was closed due to the fact that it was considered one of the most dangerous in the world due to the proximity of houses and the sea, which made the landing of aircraft very spectacular.
