What medicines should I take when I go to a beach holiday in China?

Answer Larisa Barysheva
First of all I want to note that China does not belong to potentially dangerous tourist destinations. No compulsory vaccination is required to visit the country, nor any extended list of medical devices in the first aid kit.

Besides, having felt a slight malaise in the resorts of the Middle Kingdom, the tourist will easily find all the necessary medicines (even Chinese ones, which are often much more effective than western ones and less toxic due to a natural plant base). When going on a beach vacation, and especially with children, be sure to have at your fingertips:

  • Sunscreens
  • Means for treatment of sunburn
  • Wound healing gels and creams
  • Medicinal preparations used for food disorders and poisonings (all - this is a region with a very exotic gastric cuisine for Europeans)
  • Analgesics
  • Antiviral and anti-cold preparations
  • Antiseptic and disinfectants
  • Antihistamines
  • Antiviral drops or eye ointments
  • Glucocorticosteroid (hormone anti-inflammatory ointments

If there are chronic diseases, of course, you need to bring along medicines that are indicated for use. You can visit the dentist before the trip.
