Expert Reviews about Sa Santiago de Cuba
The hotels in Santiago de Cuba are noticeably smaller than in the same Havana: in fact tourists are invited less than half a dozen hotels in the center. The rest of the hotels are located on the outskirts of the city, from where you have to go anywhere by taxi (although this is not very expensive and fast enough).
Perhaps the most popular type of accommodation for tourists in Santiago is casas particulares - private hotels. There are also small private farms that offer travelers the shelter and the necessary minimum of service. Here you can even find offers for renting old houses in the city center and small ones planting in the suburbs. Among the latter, Reparto SueƱo is very popular.
There are several hotels along the coast and some remote places for active tourists going on night excursions or planning to leave Santiago for a short time.
