Not all lovers of outdoor activities know that in sunny Cyprus there is a full-fledged ski resort that opened a new season over the weekend.
Winter resort is located on Mount Olympus - the highest peak of the Troodos mountain range. The opportunity to ride through the breezes along the local slopes is not always provided: it all depends on the weather conditions and the abundance of snowfalls, which often bypass the region. The snow that broke out on Saturday and Sunday made it possible to open two of the four existing routes: the Solar Valley (access is provided from the Aphrodite ski lift) and the North Wall 2 (the Hera ski lift).
As the fanski.ru portal notes, Troodos is the only option for skiing on the island. To access the open ski area, the visitor must purchase a ski pass for EUR 20. The cost of renting equipment will be about 17 EUR per day
