Entertainment and attractions Linnanmäki
At present, there are 43 attractions in Linnamäki Park. In addition, the park administration likes to make surprises for visitors: from time to time new attractions or new ones are suddenly opened here.
Extreme lovers will find in the park a lot of attractions that raise the level of adrenaline in the blood. One of them - "Raketti" ("Rocket") - a design that looks like a 60-meter tower, inside of which there is a pneumatic mechanism that launches rocket passengers into flight. The peak of the tower is reached in just 2, 5 seconds!
Now in the park there are several roller coasters, among them: "Lightning", "Fire Sledge", "Milky Way", "Fast Train", "Vuoristorata" and rafting track "Vonkaputous" ("From the Gorok to Water").
Sea Life Life Marine
In 2003, the first Scandinavian Sea Life center (Sea Life) was opened in Linnanmäki, which is a two-storeyed building with several dozen large and small aquariums. Here you can see representatives of marine flora and fauna from all over the world and even be present during their feeding at a certain time.
In the central part of Sea Life there is a huge aquarium consisting of labyrinths, the most interesting inhabitants of which are sharks - the park of them very proud. Being in complete safety, you can watch these creepy, but bewitching sea predators, standing right next to them.
The oceanarium is very interesting because in many halls you can visit stunning exhibitions on different topics and even participate in them. You can become a paleontologist for a while and be present at the excavation of a dinosaur skeleton, or walk along the seashore and feel the movement of the waves. You can touch a jellyfish or a sea urchin, and also see with your own eyes a giant starfish, whose diameter reaches almost a meter long, and it is still growing.
The Ferris Wheel and the Panorama Tower
Linnanmäki Park is also known a Ferris wheel that will lift you to a 35-meter height, from where you can see a wonderful view of the intertwining of city streets. But this altitude is not extreme: sitting in the glass gondola of the observation tower Panoraama (Panorama), you smoothly overcome 53 meters of its height - and right in front of you spread out in all its glory the city of Helsinki. They say that this is one of the best places to see the capital of Finland, because the tower is very close to the city center.
"Panorama" was built in 1987 and can receive 400 visitors per hour. Originally it was planned as a real lookout tower, but because of some problems, first legal, and later with financing, it was decided to build an attraction in the form of a lookout tower.
