Gokarna is the most terrible secret of Goa patrons, who, alas, has long been open .This sought tired of crowds of tourists fans of "real India", and arriving - created the entire infrastructure for the next crowds of "enlightened" .And yet the beaches and streets of this sacred city for the Hindus are seriously different from the goyash party .In local churches do not let foreigners, do not see on the streets and stripped in pareo and mini bikini tourists, moreover - on the city beach to sunbathe and undress women is prohibited .It would seem that then attracts here "gauafilov"? Located just half an hour's walk from the center of Gokarna, the stunning coastline with that "lost paradise", as well as the atmosphere - of Hindu love for everything and at the same time rigor with respect to the rules and regulations of this exotic corner of the earth .

Gokarna is located in Karnataka, 450 km from Bangalore International Airport. As mentioned above, this city is very important for believers in the country, it is often mentioned in Hindu texts. And all because here is one of the famous deities of Shiva - the lingam of Mahabaleshwar.
How to get here
Most white sagibas come to Gokarna from Goa, which is easy enough. From the bus station Margao, a bus leaves once a day, on the way for 4 hours, the fare from 60 rupees. You can get there by train, which is faster - there is a train that leaves at noon, it goes two hours (the fare from 20 rupees), and one more train that departs to the south and goes to Gokarna for an hour and a half.
In addition to these direct trains, you can take the train to Mangalore or Cochin. The fastest option is to get from Goa - take the train to Kumta or Ankola, from where to Gokarna you already have a bus or rickshaw (100 rupees).
Infrastructure and beaches
Gokarna is a very small and very cozy town, the center of which is interesting primarily for its temples .Here you can rent a house for 50-100 rupees, as well as find teachers of yoga and Sanskrit .But, overheating in the hot Indian sun, go and swim will not work: the central beach is dirty, moreover - there you can not sunbathe women .So the easiest way to swim is to go to the beaches for "white gentlemen" who are about half an hour away .Not the easiest task in the sun, so their customers are waiting for boats on the city beach, which for about 100 rupees and more will take you to the paradise coast .
Those who wish to save money - a direct road to the Ganapati temple, from where the path to Kudle Beach begins. (Look for an arrow on the wall indicating.) Only half an hour walk through the beautiful, but rocky terrain - and you are on the beach. Here, both men and women feel equally good: they undress, bathe, eat pizza, as this corner has long been loved by Italians. From there, you can get to Om-Beach in 20 minutes, and after it - another half an hour walk and there will be Half Moon Beach and Paradise Beach.
Paradise Beach corresponds to its name - especially when you look at the lagoon from above. At the same time there are a couple of cafes and cabins of reeds and palm leaves that are rented to tourists. And still here you can sunbathe topless and even naked - if you get into the lagoon on the left, while no one has occupied it.
