How to get to Trichy
Airport Trichy is located 8 km from the city center. Flights to Chennai, Coimbatore and other cities of the State of Tamil, as well as to Sri Lanka.
Trichy is also located at the intersection of the railway lines connecting Chennai, Madurai and Rameshwaram. The Chennai train runs about 7-9 hours (8 departures a day), Rameshwarama - 7 hours, Chidambaram - 4 hours, Tanjavur - 2 hours, Madurai - 3-4 hours (6 departures a day). There are express trains to Bangalore
The city also has two bus stations - public and private Thiruvalluvar, located nearby. Rock Temple (Rock Fort) reaches 83 meters in height and stands on a rocky massif, old part of the city.
