There are two main beaches in Haifa: Bat-Galim, which is popular with water sports enthusiasts, windsurfers and kite hunters, and Hof-HaKarmel, which is more suitable for a lazy pastime in the sun and bathing. . However, the infrastructure is fully developed at both of them . @ Plus, those who for some reason were not satisfied with the two "official" ones will surely find themselves a spot on the many kilometers of sandy belt in the south-western part of the city . Only the beach sand zone in Haifa stretches for 5 km, and the total length of shoreline the city reaches 17 km .
an unwritten division of the segment on a city beach. The best part of the beach for swimming is right at the bus and railway stations of Hof-HaKarmel, which is very convenient. Families with children usually occupy the territory at the promenade. Young people and singles are arranged on a strip of sand to the south, where there is no promenade, no shops. Local residents call this part a "student beach."
Bat-Galim is one of the oldest and most famous beaches in Haifa. Along the promenade there are many cafes and restaurants, and for children there is even a special entertainment: a playground in the form of a pirate ship made of wood. The southern part of the beach is especially good for surfing.
The high towers of Hof-HaKarmel celebrate the same beach, located to the south of the Neve-David district. This beach on the weekend is just crowded with people. On the beach there are sports equipment, and lifeguards are on duty. The waves here are not high because of the breakwater ....
Dado Beach, long and comfortable, research of the Ministry of Environmental Protection, among the best in the country. This assessment is based on criteria such as cleanliness of the water and the beach itself, infrastructure, accessibility and public opinion. On the beach there is a zone for folk dances, an amphitheater for summer activities and a small paddling pool for toddlers. In the southern part of the beach, where the wooden flooring ends, you can fry shish kebabs.
HaHof-HaShaket beach ("quiet beach") is located behind the Rambam medical center, just outside the port. The name of this small beach is quite logical: firstly, thanks to the two breakwaters there is always calm water. Secondly, the place is not the most picturesque and not especially tourist, so there are usually few people here. The beach is visited mostly by locals, and there are separate days for bathing: men are Monday, Wednesday and Friday; Women's - Tuesday, Thursday and Sunday (Saturday - the general day)
Kiryat-Khaim beach is located at the western end of the same district. It occupies a completely straight straight strip of shore, and there are no breakwaters, so it may not be very convenient to swim. In the northern part of the beach there is a separate area for religious Israelis, and here the same "male" and "female" days operate as on HaHof-HaShaket beach.
Neve-Yam beach is located to the south-west of the coastal town of Atlit. The beach is located in a large rounded bay, exceptionally pleasant for walking along the beach. The most indefatigable can even take a walk to the southern neighbor, HaBonim beach. The northern part of the bay forms a rocky cape with terraces and small stone basins.
