Orio Al Serio Airport, better known as Bergamo Airport, accepts local flights and budget flights. Bergamo is located about 50 km from Milan and 5 km from Bergamo, the center of Lombardy. Orio Al Serio is the second largest airport serving Milan
How to get there
From the airport you can get to Bergamo and Milan. Directly from the airport building there are only buses and taxis, but if you need to get to Milan, you can take advantage of the local train leaving Bergamo. The price of the train from Bergamo to Milan is 4, 6 EUR, you will spend an hour on the way.
Bus tickets to Milan are sold at the airport ticket offices. There are several carriers, their prices are almost the same and are kept around 10 EUR. Buses to Milan go every 30 minutes from 04-00 to 23-30, the last bus to Bergamo leaves at 00-15. The cost of the trip is about 1, 5 EUR

Bergamo Airport is focused on budget airlines and therefore is not considered the most convenient. Directly in the airport there are cafes and shops, the prices in which are low, but the range is average. The waiting rooms are equipped with plastic and metal seats, but in general more than three hours to spend in the building is difficult, and if you wait for a long time, you better go to the hotel. During a large influx of passengers, seats in the waiting room may not be enough.
In the immediate vicinity of the airport there are four hotels, the average bill for one person per day during the day is 110 EUR.
