In 2006 in the capital of Kazakhstan appeared its own magnificent pyramid, which many consider to be a list of Wonders of the World. And indeed, the Palace of Peace and Accord is a delightful building that not only amazes with originality and grandeur, but it also has great significance for the Kazakh people, symbolizing friendship, unity and peace. All its kind of pyramid symbolizes three basic concepts of many religions: a dungeon in dark colors; the middle part in white colors symbolizes the world; the sky is the glass top of the pyramid
The idea thanks to which the Palace of Peace and Accord was born, he is indebted to the head of state Nursultan Nazarbayev - the President of the Republic of Kazakhstan proposed to build a new building for congresses of leaders of world and traditional religions.
The project of the Palace construction was led by the famous British architect Norman Foster, which resulted in the erection of an elegant and majestic pyramid, the top of which is a picturesque stained-glass window created by Brian Clarke. 130 of the pigeons depicted on it symbolize the peoples inhabiting the lands of Kazakhstan. In addition, the pyramid is also correct, built in accordance with the principle of the "Golden Fibonacci Section": the length of the side of the square lying in the base is equal to the height of the pyramid.
In addition to the opera hall in burgundy and gold colors equipped with the most modern technical equipment, inside the pyramid there are conference halls, a press center, a hall for solemn ceremonies, several exhibition spaces and a contemporary art center
Cheops Atrium Celebration Hall is the largest room in the Palace of Peace and Accord: its area is more than 2000 square meters and it is occupied by four galleries, one of which exhibits a large-scale composition "Astana's Master Plan for Development until 2030."
In the center of contemporary art you can see various works of art, visit a temporary exhibition or a creative meeting with artists of Kazakhstan and the world
Cradle is located at the very top of the Palace of Peace and Accord . It was in this "Cradle" that the second Congress of Leaders of World and Traditional Religions, held world-wide, took place . You can go upstairs in a transparent elevator car (and not vertically, but diagonally! ), which allows you to enjoy beautiful views of the green terrace .
