first e-currency sets started to be sold in Latvia
Last time in Latvia the sale of EUR gift sets with local symbols started.
The first sets include 45 coins with all existing denominations: two coins of 2 EUR, four - 1 and several coins of 50, 20, 10, 5, 2 and 1 euro cents. The total amount of the set issued in a limited edition of 800 copies is just over 14 EUR
Let's remind that from January 1 Latvia will become the eighteenth full participant of the eurozone and the second one from among the countries from the post-Soviet space (the "debutant" of the EUR zone from the USSR in 2011 was Estonia). Many local residents, as well as representatives of the tourism industry, negatively reacted to the change in the home currency. It has already become apparent that in one of the poorest European countries, the introduction of the EUR will entail another price increase for virtually all commodity groups
