Add a review about Frida Kalo Museum

The museum of the most famous Mexican artist Frida Kahlo is located in the house in which she was born, grew up and spent her whole life. Together with Frida Kahlo, her husband, the equally famous moral artist Diego Rivera, also lived in the house.

Frida Kahlo House Museum

In the 30-40s of the 20th century this house of cornflower blue was a meeting place for local intellectuals. A couple of years even Leon Trotsky lived here with his wife. The atmosphere in which a couple of artists lived, has survived to this day. Today, walking around the rooms, you can see the things that Frida and Diego used. This is an easel, palettes, brushes, souvenirs, photos of spouses, a wheelchair (Kalo was seriously injured during the accident and was long riveted to him.)

There are statuettes of red clay, souvenirs and jewelry everywhere: Frida and Diego collect cultural objects pre-Columbian civilizations
