This park is officially called the Birds Valley, but it is not just an avian park. This is also the zoo, and by Moroccan standards and with an amendment to its resort location - quite good. At a minimum, monkeys, gazelles, deer, sheep and llamas are provided for you. In addition, the park is located in a good location, so walking along its wide avenues is nice: it is full of greenery and shade, and there is a cozy place to relax with benches near the fountain. And the entrance is free.
The park was arranged on the site of a bed of a parched river that descended from Hassan II Boulevard to the boulevard on August 20, near the beach. The first section of the zoo is devoted mainly to mammals, mostly ungulates (although even one wallaby lives in the park). The second part is given exclusively to the bird cages.
I must say, the variety of birds here is quite impressive: macaw and cockatoo, flamingos and infernal birds, as well as birds of prey. Compared with European zoos, it's true that the situation in Birds Valley is not too "natural": rather small cells, grids, and care of the park and beasts could be better.
The park is not too large - an hour is enough to inspect it. On the territory there is a playground with a sandbox, and families with children often come here. If desired, you can feed the mountain goats. There can be a lot of people here on the days off of the people, so it's better to come in working hours.
Practical information
Bird Valley is located directly on the main street, between the shops. The park can be accessed from the ocean, from the west, and it is more convenient, because on the second entrance, on the opposite side, you will find many steps. A mini-tourist train stops right at the zoo.
Opening hours: 9:30 - 12:30 and 14:30 - 18:00 daily.
