The Feast of the Three Kings in Poland

The main heroes of the date are the New Testament wizards Caspar, Melchior and Balthazar. They went on a long journey behind the Bethlehem star, to which the choir of angels indicated to them. At the conclusion of their journey, the kings bowed to the newborn Jesus and presented him with rich gifts. In honor of this event, Catholics write on the doors of their houses the letters "K + M + B" and a year. Interestingly, the inscription is made chalk, which is consecrated in the church. Poles believe that the initials of the kings will save the house from misfortunes, and the family members from illnesses.

In Warsaw, this day there is a festive prayer at Zamkova Square.
