Until the end of this week the cost of air tickets for international destinations will drop by 4%. This was reported by specialists of the International Air Transport Association (IATA). The reason for the decline in prices was the strengthening of the RUB against major currencies.
The cost of air tickets abroad is determined based on the IATA rate, which is linked to the ratio of RUB to USD and EUR. The rate is recalculated every week, on Wednesdays, rounded up to 50 kopecks in a larger direction. Based on this course, the cost of air tickets for international destinations is determined.
On February 18, the EUR exchange rate will decrease to 71, 5 RUB, and USD - to 63 RUB.
