Mysterious Red Palace of the Alhambra (L'Alhambra, or Alhambra) in Spanish Granada - a place where you can not just make original photos, but also plunge into several different cultures at the same time. When by 1230 almost all Spanish lands were conquered by Christians from Muslims, it was Granada that became the center of Muslim culture in Spain, which has survived to our times. And it was here that the Muslims decided to build a "paradise on earth."

According to Arab historians, suggesting that not only red brick influenced how people describe the atmosphere of the palace, but also the builders who worked at night in torchlight, reddish shade of the walls.

What to see

You can get here through the arch, in the guide described as the Gate of Justice. According to the traditions of the Middle East, small matters were heard at the entrance, without allowing a problem either to the park or even to the palace itself. There are many arches with meaning, most of which resemble stalactites and are located in perfect symmetry.

It is here in the corner of the east in European Spain that you must try the tea in small tethers (TeterĂas - tea rooms).

Particularly impressive and speaks about history This place is the Lion courtyard of the palace. In the center of arcade galleries, impeccable in form, is a fountain - twelve marble lions maintain a bowl of water. During the restoration, one or another lion can be missed. But now they are in full force, as they have recently updated the entire composition.

"Arab gardens became like a true paradise" - the architecture of Islam here tells a real story as if from the fairy tale "A Thousand and One Nights". So the Tower of the Thieves or the Sultanshi changed its name to the Captive Tower because it was home to a king favored in Islam.

More than 30 people are not allowed in here, so that everyone can view the records and drawings on the walls. You can only get here until 18:00.

Every time something new! March 28, 2014

Larchik
was here in July 2013
The Spanish Alhambra means red castle. The complex includes palaces, fortresses, a park, mosques, barracks, a mint and numerous fountains. The Alhambra saved us for the whole day from the heat and gave us the feeling that we are far beyond the city. The whole day we admired the stairs, fountains, reservoirs and carved tiles of delicate work. I want to warn - the only way to get to the Alhambra without queues, and they are just huge, is to buy an excursion from the travel agency. Strictness in the complex struck .... Read the full review
