The government of the Catalan capital plans in the near future to equip the entire city with free wireless access to the whole city. Service will soon be available in 12 thousand restaurants and bars in Barcelona, as well as in buses, metro, on the streets and markets.
Javier Trias, the mayor of the capital of Catalonia, intends to make Barcelona a city with the most developed Wi-Fi network in the world. The politician believes that such a measure will be positively received by both local residents and numerous tourists and compares the need for Internet with the need for heating and air conditioners.
Free Internet will be available to anyone who wants around the clock practically anywhere in the city.
