Loud applause was met with the proposal of the UTair airline's crew to sign a statement that the aircraft did not fly through the airspace of Ukraine. According to the BBC, the commander of the aircraft suggested that passengers should not follow through Ukraine, but across the sky over the Krasnodar Territory.
Tourists traveling from Bulgaria's Burgas to Moscow were asked to sign under the statement, expressing "a categorical disagreement with the fact that our flight will pass over the territory of Ukraine." The statement says that passengers are not sure of their safety in connection with the events.
It should be noted that Ukraine's airspace is open for flights, except for Donetsk and Lugansk regions.
