The museum consists of 22 thematic aquariums, the central place is occupied by a huge pool of cylindrical shape with a capacity of 500 thousand liters and a depth of about 7 m; here inhabitants of the underwater world of the Baltic Sea are exposed

For the full life of the inhabitants of the "Maretarium", a habitat is simulated as close as possible to the real one, and in artificial conditions a change of seasons is reproduced. As in wildlife, aquarium fish in turn pass spawning periods: in February, in burbot, in spring in pike, bream and perch, in summer at stickleback and pike-perch, in autumn in salmonids. In addition to the seasons, daily weather conditions are adjusted in the "Marearium" by changing the water temperature and lighting.

Many spectators gather underwater feeding of fish, in the summer it passes every day at 15:00, and in the remaining seasons - no more than three times in week.
