As a warm-up before the main beer festival, which starts on September 20, 2014 in Munich, the authorities of Finland organized their similar holiday. The Finnish Oktoberfest will be held in different cities of the country on weekends until October 25.
So, on September 12 and 13 the beer festival will take place in Jyvaskyla. On 26 and 27 August, the festival will be held in Tampere, and on 11 and 11 October beer will be sipped in Turku. The holiday will end on October 22 and 25 in Helsinki, in the central square of the city.
Organizers promise in every city to build awnings in the manner of the Munich festival. Each canopy can accommodate more than 2 thousand fans of foam drink.
On Fridays, the festival will be held from 16:00 to 24:00, on Saturdays - from 12:00 to 24:00. Except, in fact, excellent beer, the organizers promise to feed the visitors with pork and chicken on the grill. The waiters will serve food and drinks in traditional Bavarian dresses.
