Transport east coast of Mauritius

Buses from Port Louis, Ciupipeip, Rose Hill and Maeburg are arriving at Central de Flac, and there is a need to change trains to get to the coastal resorts. For example, the bus to Trou d'Eau-Douce departs every half an hour. But to the resort of Bel-Mar buses do not go: they will only get a taxi (~ 300 MUR).

There is no regular ferry to the island of Ile-o-Cerf: there you can swim on one of the private boats, in excess of offering their services in Tru-d'O-Douce. Boats depart every half hour from 9 am to 4 pm. Guests of the Le Touessrok were lucky most: they have a free transfer.

Hotels

Most high-class hotels are concentrated around the village of Bel-Mar. The tourists who stop there are so steep that they prefer a helicopter transfer to the hotel by car (and not because of heavy traffic).

Beaches on the east coast of Mauritius

In Trou d'Eau Douce there is a post office, a shop, a small petrol station, scooter rental and a lot of places where you can eat and cheaply spend the night. This parade of colorful fish can be seen in the Strait of La Passe de Belle Mare. There are about five dive sites, which also often have sharks. Further south, opposite the resort of Trou d'Eau Douce, there is another site - Passe de Trou d'Eau Douce. It's not so spectacular, but it's good for drift diving.
