Porvoo is a city where residents of Helsinki move, who decided to move to the village, but do not want to give up city amenities. After Turku, Porvoo is the second oldest city in Finland, and it is charming. Moreover, by the standards of the country, Porvoo is not so small and not at all provincial. Here there is a peaceful and soulful semi-rural atmosphere, but quite a few art galleries, excellent shops, including exclusive ones, and excellent gourmet restaurants work here.

In a compact city center there are many old buildings that are very nice to see on foot walks . The streets of old Porvoo are extremely cozy and lovely, and in order to feel the magic of the town, it is not necessary to see the majestic architectural monuments (they are not in Porvoo) . To create an impression in for example, barns on the river that served as warehouses in the Middle Ages, or the Old Bridge, which once passed the Royal Route from Turku to Vyborg, and today there is a museum train . Near the bridge is the old railway station , where today handicraft shops are concentrated .

Porvoo Toy Museum is not only popular with children. This is one of the best museums of this kind in Finland, and more than 1000 exhibits are collected in its collection. The oldest toys in the exposition are more than 150 years old
