The main resorts of Lakshadweep
Kawaratti is the state capital and headquarters of the island administration since 1964. Here you can rent yachts and kayaks, take a boat trip on a boat with a transparent bottom, visit a local saltwater aquarium, ride a motor boat or simply sunbathe. There are more than 50 mosques on the island, the most beautiful of which is Ujra.
Bangaram is a small drop-shaped island, in the lagoon of which there are two tiny islands - Thinnakara and Paraly. Quiet waters around the island are the most popular place for snorkeling and other water sports. The island is also home to the Lacadives dive center, which also organizes diving in Cadmate.
Kadmat Island, which is 8 km long and 550 meters wide, has two beautiful lagoons on the western and eastern sides, suitable for yachting and diving. The most successful places for sunbathing are at the southern tip of Kadmat
Near the progressive island of Kalpeni there are two pretty tiny islands - Tilakkam and Pitti, and just north of the uninhabited island of Cheeryam. Why progressive?
Tourists will enjoy a variety of water sports, bathing houses with locker rooms on the beach and four double cabins for living. Attractions include a lighthouse and a banyan plantation. The variety of underwater beauties in the lagoon of Kalpeni attracts a considerable number of divers to the island.
Cross-shaped island Minikoy is the most southerly island of Lakshadweep, with the largest lagoon, and also the second longest after the island of Andrott (10, 6 km) . Nearby is the island of Virringe . In addition to paradise landscapes, this island attracts tourists with its original culture: there was invented a kind of self-management system called "atiris" (Atiri - a group of houses run by the elder, Mooppan . Each village has a beautifully decorated house where important issues are being solved) . Other interesting facts about the island: Minico th - an important center of tuna fishing; there is a canning factory; and the local lighthouse - one of the oldest on the islands, was built in 1885 . Beaches of the island can boast cabanas for changing clothes and bathing houses, renting equipment for snorkeling, yachts, kayaks, water bicycles . Local hotels are tourist cottages and one large 20-seat guesthouse .
Agatti is famous for the most beautiful lagoon in Lakshvadipah, as well as the only state-owned airport and beautiful beaches. In addition, the island built a modern complex in European style: twenty two-bed cottages, equipped with everything necessary for a comfortable stay. The island also operates a Divine Agatti dive center, the cost of diving is ~ 3000 INR. Agatti is just 8 km from Bangarama
Diving
The ecosystem of the islands is famous for its variety: live corals, several species of sharks, turtles, barracudas, rays, sea urchins, leopard morays, sand eels etc., etc. Along with complex reefs with a slope of tens of meters, there are pretty and easily accessible sites that you can admire in a mask with a tube. In addition, fishing, sailing, surfing, and diving 200 km away from one of the galleon islands can be practiced on the island. Photo of Lakshadweep (14)
