2 The Museum of the Tower of David opens a new equipped passage and Kishle for general public access

The Museum of the History of Jerusalem invites tourists to visit the new Kishle - the building of the Ottoman prison, which for the first time since closing for repairs has become available to visitors.

Earlier, the prison was allowed to visit only small tour groups, as staying in Kishl during excavations could be unsafe. Now the work is completed, and anybody can see their results.

In addition, the Museum "The Tower of David" invites tourists to visit a new passage, which was erected over a moat, which in its time served as the first boundary of the defense of Jerusalem from enemies. The southern part of the historical site was reconstructed and opened for visitors for the first time. Excavations were conducted for about 10 years, the remains of the walls of Herod's palace and the graves of the First Temple were found at the site of the works.
