"The Devil's Bridge" - that's how it was nicknamed because this structure astonished everyone by its strength. No other than the dark forces built it, the locals believed.

The bridge was started to be erected in 14 BC. It costs more than two thousand years and can stand the same, because the wooden piles are in good condition. In general, the Romans were excellent engineers. They invented a volatile mixture of volcanic ash with lime, which became an analogue of concrete. That's why the building stands so long.

On the bridge - five arches, which increase towards the largest. From the outside he makes a strong impression. And if you walk through it and carefully consider it, it's not hard to believe in the legend about the devil. How else can such a bridge endure two millennia ?!

They say that during the erection the bridge was constantly collapsing. Then Tiberius, not having received support from the gods, turned to the devil for help. He agreed to the deal, but put forward the condition: he will receive the soul of the person who will first pass the bridge. Tiberius slipped the dog into the devil. He was angry and wanted to destroy the building - but it's too late: the bridge was already devilishly strong.

If you do not want to walk from the bus station (which is about 20-25 minutes), you can get there by bus number 1, which is called "Rimini Storico" and stops near the main attractions - the arch of Augustus, the bridge of Tiberius, the square ...
