In honor of the 400th anniversary of the birth of the famous artist Mattia Preti from 3 May to 7 July, tourists will be able to see the collection his masterpieces of State Rumz in the palace of the Grand Master in Valletta. The exhibition entitled "Mattia Preti: Faith and Humanism" will be held under the patronage of the President of Malta.
Mattia Preti's enormous influence on Maltese art is evident to this day, and understanding the life and work of Mattia Preti will help to understand the past, .
In Malta, the painter spent 40 years of his life. He participated in the painting of the Cathedral of St. John, as well as many parish churches. His work is in many private collections
