Airports in Montenegro generally meet international standards. Both in Podgorica and Tivat, airport buildings are small, tourists, cafes, taxis, airline offices operate. Duty free in Podgorica is very modest: these are small shops with perfumes, cosmetics and drinks.

In Tivat, there is no cafe in the departure hall, so if you want to have a snack, you should do it right after registration. After passing the aviation control over the seating arrangements, a cup of coffee can be forgotten.

Airlines flying to Montenegro

Airports in Montenegro accept charter and scheduled flights from Europe and Russia. Aircrafts from Asia also arrive in Tivat. With the company "Transaero" you will reach any of these cities. In Podgorica, flights are operated by such airlines as Montenegro Airlines, Adria Austrian Airlines and Airways. From April to September, Tivat can be reached from S7 airlines. But Aeroflot will take you only to Belgrade, from where you can fly to Montenegro's airports by using the services of local airlines.

Which airport should I choose

If you came to rest on the resorts of the Hercegnovska Riviera, then it is better to take advantage of those flights that land in Tivat. Travel time to the place of rest will take you about an hour. You can get to the Hercegnovska Riviera from Podgorica, but you will spend twice as much time on the road.

Tivat Airport is also very convenient for tourists traveling to the resorts of Budva and Kotor. Recall that from Tivat to Budva - 20 minutes, and to Kotor only 10 minutes. Literally, do not have time to look back.

For ski resorts, for example in Ulcinj, from any airport in Montenegro can be reached by bus. The journey time from Podgorica, and from Tivat is approximately the same - 1, 5 hours.
