Another symbol of the country (besides tulips and coffee shops) is undoubtedly the windmill .A lot of these buildings are located throughout the Netherlands, giving a special touch to the surrounding landscape .Often, the welfare of the Dutch villages depended on how well the mill works and, correspondingly, on the wind, thanks to which its wings rotate and the mechanism works .A place where you can get acquainted with different types of mills, their arrangement and organization of the technological process, is the village of Zanes-Schans .Many of the exhibits of this open-air museum are still working, grinding grain and churning out oil .
Tourists have a wonderful opportunity to observe how this happens. In addition, in Zansa Schans, you can go to the classic Dutch farm, where you make traditional cheese, see the various houses typical of the Dutch village, and visit the workshops where old national shoes are cut out - the klops that can also be bought here. @
