The national pride of Norway in the field of elegant literature, the playwright Henrik Ibsen did not fail to follow the path of the pioneers (this is the Norwegians in the blood) - and founded the whole direction of the new European drama. Speaking briefly, Ibsen wrote raspberry-raspberries on a topic far from real life, and Mr. Henryk was the first to show the mental throwings of ordinary people. It is clear that such a genius initiative deserves national and universal honor, and the playwright owns his own museum.
Museum exposition
Ibsen Museum is located in a building where the writer spent the last years of his life. Along with two other attractions related to the name of the playwright - the birthplace in Skien and the educational alma mater in Grimstad - this is a must-visit not only for admirers of his work, but also for all connoisseurs of modern theater, because without Ibsen's innovative ideas, we would still look with longing at the fictitious life of cardboard characters.
Ibsen Museum completely preserved the situation that existed there during the life of the writer. In particular, his office remained exactly as the playwright had left him for the last time. The interior of the other rooms of the house was restored and acquired a typical look of that time.
The most famous room in the Ibsen Museum is the bedroom where the writer died on May 23, 1906. According to the legend, when the relatives gathered near the bed of the dying, the nurse, wishing to encourage them, noted that today Ibsen looks better. To which the playwright rose from the bed and said clearly: "On the contrary! "- Then he moved to another world. What really meant Mr. Henryk will always remain a secret
