3 Norway will host the Cherry Festival

From July 24 to July 27, the annual Morellfestivalen Cherry Festival will be held in the Norwegian town of Loththus, in the province of Hardanger. The event is the main holiday of the south-west of the country.

The main highlight of the festival is the Norwegian championship on spitting cherry bones conducted since 1996. The competition is held in three categories: for men, women and children. The record for several years belongs to a certain Sverre Kleisvos, who managed to spit a bone from the sweet cherry as much as 14, 25 m.

In addition, the festival program includes a fair, excursions to the farm, concerts, a variety of exhibitions, barbecues, sweets competitions, yacht tours and an incendiary party.

The Cherry Festival is held in Norway every year since 1995 in the last weekend of July.
