The world's tallest apartment building is already in full swing in the center of the Norwegian city of Bergen tree. The building called Treet, which is actually translated as "Derevo", is being erected near the Bufjorden district.
Representatives of the housebuilding company have already announced the start of real estate sales in the new house: at present half of 62 apartments under construction are available.
"Innovation of this project is that we combine load-bearing structures from glued timber with apartments on the basis of modules," says project manager Ole Kleppe.
All modules will be installed by early 2015, will be covered with a glass and metal facade to protect the wooden structure from the humid climate.
