Huge stone walls and steps prop up the shaggy white clouds in Ollantaytambo. With their grandeur, they resemble the walls of Saxaouaman. Ollantaytambo is 60 km north-west of the city of Cusco. The name of this small settlement with "great" sights from the local adverb of Quechua (Quechua) translates as "the pantry of my God." The sacred valley of Urubamba protects the rest of the stone structures.

The amazing value of Ollantaytambo's architectural treasures is that by changing the style and quality of construction, the racial gradation of the ancient "architects" is also noticeable. Started "construction", judging by the giant building blocks on the top of the mountain, the Lemurian giants, and then continued the grandiose project already the artisans are lower. The walls of the giant buildings formed the basis of the first, upper deck of the terraces, and all the rest are built of small cobblestone.

Also there are dwarf buildings in the form of terraces next to the ruins of Ollantaytambo. The same terraces are also found in neighboring valleys, a few kilometers from Ollantaytambo, for example, in the historical reserve of Machu Picchu: Llactapata, Winaywayna, Phuyupatamarca, Sayakmarca
