Sudeten is the second largest mountain system in Poland. Its highest point is Mount Snezka (1603 m) in the mountain range of the Giant Mountains (Giant Mountains). In the Sudeten there are more than a dozen resorts - mountain-climatic, balneological, and, of course, mountain-skiing. The most famous among them are the ski resorts of Zielenec, Karpacz and Szklarska Poręba, the oldest Polish health resorts Čaplice Slaskie-Zdroj and Kudowa-Zdrój, as well as Lądek-Zdrój, Polanica Zdrój, Duszniki Zdroj and Swieradów Zdrój.

How to get here
The nearest airports are in Warsaw and Wroclaw. The network of railways connects Wroclaw with Szklarska Poręba and Kudowa-Zdrój. Duszniki-Zdroj arrives from Warsaw. With Zelents direct railway service is not established - you can get to the resort by taxi from Dusnikov.
In Karpacz regular buses run from Jelenia Gora (5-6.4 zł, 1 h). In July and August daily buses connect Karpacz with Szklarska Poręba (6.4 zł, 50 min). From Wroclaw, there is a regular service to Kudowa-Zdrój.

By car
In Szklarska Poręba it is easy to reach the national road number 3 / E65, connecting northern and southern Europe. The road E67 connecting Wroclaw with Kudowa-Zdrój and the national road number 8 lead to Zeleniec. Resorts Sudet
The resort of Szklarska Poręmba is situated at the foot of Mount Szrenica (1362 m) in the valley of the Kamenná River. The resort is located at altitudes of 440-886 meters above sea level between the Karkonosze in the south and the Jizera mountains in the west. The ski complex is represented by 5 routes with a total length of more than 20 km and 6 ski lifts located on the slopes of Mount Szrenica. One of the tracks with a length of 2,080 m officially certified by FIS for international skiing competitions.
Zelenec is the largest ski resort in the Klodzko River valley, located at an altitude of about 950 m above sea level in the Orlicky Mountains belt. 30 lifts unites the local routes in a single network with a total length of about 15 km.
The Karpacz ski resort is represented by 7 ski lifts, 6 slopes of varying degrees of difficulty and a springboard that is used as a viewing platform in summer.
Treatment

Kudowa-Zdrój - the oldest resort, located at an altitude of 390-440 m above sea level at the foot of Park Mountain in the chain of ridges of Stolovy Mountains .The first mention of the Kudov waters dates back to 1636, when the bathing facilities were built .At present, 8 sources are open in Kudovo, and the hospitals specialize in the treatment of diseases in the field of cardiology of pulmonology, endocrinology, overweight and musculoskeletal system .Due to its location, Kudowa is an ideal place for hiking, cycling, and is also a starting point for exploring the nearby surroundings of the Stolovy and Orlicky Mountains .
Nearby is the town of Vambežice, popular among pilgrims by the miraculous figurine of Our Lady of Wambéřice, as well as the basilica made in the Baroque style.

Krkonose National Park
On the territory of the Krkonoše Mountains there is a national park of the same name, founded in 1959. The park covers an area of 55 square meters. km, of which 17 square kilometers. km are under strict protection. Most of the park, about 33 square meters. km, consists of forest. In 1992, the Polish Krkonoše park together with the neighboring Czech national park, founded in 1963, was recognized by UNESCO as a biosphere reserve within the framework of the Man and the Biosphere program.
The Giant Mountains is located on the watershed of two rivers, Elbe and Oder, thus dividing the basins of the Baltic and North Seas. In the park, many streams and streams originate, forming whole waterfalls, the largest of which is in the Polish part of the park - the Lomnichka waterfall falling from a 300-meter height. About 200 species of birds and 60 species of mammals live in the park; there are 2 species of fish, 6 species of amphibians and 6 species of reptiles. The park attracts a special attraction from the moufflons brought here in the early 20th century.
