Good day. We go to Europe in autumn and on the way from Prague to Warsaw we want to visit Auschwitz. How can this be done? We will use public transport

Answer Evgeny Lyubeznikov
There are regular group excursions to Auschwitz with departure from Krakow, however it is advisable to book such excursions in advance through Russian tour operators.

There is also an opportunity to just drive up to the museum in the working time and enter with one of the groups (but it is unlikely that in this case the guide will be Russian-speaking). However, you can rent a player with audio guide in Russian.

You can get to Auschwitz by train to Oświęcim station: the train departs from Kraków Główny main station, the journey time will be about one and a half hours. From the station in Auschwitz to the museum it will be necessary to walk for about half an hour, you can also use the city transport (buses 24, 25, 28, 29)

Buses to Auschwitz depart from the main station in another way and follow the stop Dworzec Główny. Departure about once every half an hour, travel time is an hour and a half

The entrance to the territory of Auschwitz is free
