Borovsk received its name thanks to the mighty pine forests, echoes of which can still be seen in the vicinity of the city. Most likely, Borovsk was founded before the invasion of the Tatar-Mongols, as the city is mentioned in the life of Paphnutius Borowski, who founded the famous monastery among pilgrims, located three kilometers from the city center.

The first floor is made of massive stone, and the facade is decorated with beautiful rustic inserts that brighten the long wall.
On the second floor there is a unique lace decoration. Particularly notable are the roof with triangular pediments and a small fairy-tale auditory window in the attic. which could be just right for Dyumovochka.
