You can buy souvenirs with urban symbols, as well as paintings by local artists in the Art Gallery or in the House of Crafts (Makarova St., 15). Kineshma felt boots once competed with Kostroma and Yaroslavl for the title of the best in the country. The craft is gradually being revived, and now felt boots are made both by the factory method (in the village of Kislyachiha) and manually - there is a famous Sokolov family in Kineshma, who creates these original shoes according to old technologies.
Restaurants
Let the restaurant "Kineshma" (Sovetskaya str., 23) not scare you with its "Soviet" look, they cook tasty things here. Try the signature dish - Kineshma deep-fat fritters. The “Russkaya izba” tea house (Volzhsky Boulevard, 2) is a place famous for the fact that at the end of the 19th century the tea society of sobriety was located here. The menu is varied, but prices are not as democratic as we would like. In the canteen at the River Port Authority there is a very decent Uzbek cuisine, there are complex lunches.
