In Serbia, the debate on the appropriateness of legalizing medical marijuana is gaining momentum. Supporters of the project advocate for allowing the use of a light narcotic in tablets for serious illnesses.
Minister of Health Zlatibor Loncar reported that the Ministry of Health will not oppose the legalization of cannabis for medical purposes, emphasizing that this does not mean that light drugs will be available to anyone who wants . The research centers in Serbia have confirmed the effectiveness of the use of marijuana for medical purposes.
Doctors of the Balkan country themselves emphasize that, in the case of legalization, the use of cannabis should be strictly controlled, as criminal fraud is expected and quite likely.
The possibility of legalizing light drugs in medical goals are also being considered in neighboring Balkan countries: Slovenia and Croatia are already preparing the relevant drafts.
