Along with the fortress and the cathedral, four magnificent palaces belong to the main sights of Belgrade, inherited from the dynasties of the first rulers of Serbia after independence from the Ottoman Empire. Two of them are located in the suburbs of the capital Dedina - the Royal Courtyard and the White Court, and two are located in the very center of Belgrade - the Old Courtyard, where the City Hall is now located, and the New Yard, the residence of the President of Serbia.
And again there was foreign influence - this time Russian: the royal court was erected on the instructions of Emperor Alexander I under the direction of the architect Krasnov, who before the revolution of 1917 worked for the benefit of the royal family. Therefore, strolling through the interiors of the palace, the old Kremlin chambers often come to mind.
The White Court is not so delicately elevated, as Royal, built in a strict classical style. However, its park is very noteworthy - beautiful gardens with a lot of shady corners are located on the territory of about 120 hectares
The old courtyard dates back to the times of the Obrenovic dynasty, and today the Belgrade mayor's office sits here, so it will not be possible to get inside, only to admire the exquisite classical facade
In the New Court, you will not have to look, unless you are invited to an audience with the President of Serbia
