Add a review about the Capuchin Church of St. Stefan
On the Zhupnaya Square, very close to the old city, stands the strict and solemn Church of the Capuchins of St. Stefan (or Stefan), built in the XVIII century. In the square in front of her there is a column with a sculpture of Madonna, looking at the city with a sad smile for some reason. However, Madonna, perhaps, is just such a smile.
And from the square itself a decent view of the castle over the Danube - Bratislava Castle, which survived the Napoleonic attacks of 1805 and 1809, opens, but could not resist in 1811 before the drunken Austrian soldiers.
The church, though stern, but very refined, has a warm sand color. It's nice to take a break during a walk around the city, in the summer enjoy ice cream on a nearby bench, and in the winter - a glass of mulled wine.
