Add a review about Celje
Right at the confluence of the rivers Savinja, Loznica and Voglaina, near the hill there once appeared the Celje castle, which became the heart of the county of Celje, an independent Slovenian medieval state. The main building, the Church of the Virgin Mary (14th c.), Part-time family grave of the Counts of Celsus, and the Church of St. Maximilian, built as a sign of recognition of the Christian bishop of the ancient Celia Maximilian, are located near the monument to Trubar, opposite the city bus station.
Purpose
The center of the city's guests' walks is the pretty promenade of the Savigny River, which runs near the Capuchin monastery with the church of St. Cecilia. Here begins the road to the Miklawski mountain with a viewing platform.
