How to get to Santa Ponsa
You can get to Santa Ponsa by bus for € 5-6, but have to make a transfer in Palma. Because of the transplants and the joints, the journey can take a couple of hours. Beaches of Santa Ponsa
In Santa Ponsa there is a large sandy beach, separated by a walkway from the pine forest strip. Traditionally, in the summer months people come to the beach, coming here from Palma and neighboring resorts for the weekend. Parasols and sun loungers can be rented with hourly or daily rates. There you can rent a water bicycle or any other equipment for water sports on the beach.
The swimming area is surrounded by a rope and is strictly guarded against "water" cyclists and windsurfers. The first aid station is located next to the tourist office on a walking alley. On the way to the local marina (Club Nautico Santa Ponsa) there is another beach with the unofficial name "Little Beach". It is a little crowded, besides it is difficult to find all the comforts of civilization. But the Spanish family couples it is very popular: it is safe for children, there is a portable library in summer, there is a playground for children and a shadow of the pine forest.
Entertainment, excursions and sights of Santa Ponsa
In Santa Ponsa is located the main golf resort of Mallorca (Urbanización Golf Santa Ponsa), surrounded by a 6-kilometer coastline. Only Golf Santa Ponsa I works from three sites for the general access. One game will cost around € 85.

Events
Every September there is a celebration in memory of the conquest of Mallorca by Christians under the leadership of King Jaime I in 1229, which put an end to the 300-year-old Muslim domination. On the pier in Santa Pons you can see a cross that indicates the place of the landing of the troops.
During the festive week the "medieval" market works, the battles of the historic event are recreated, the parade of "giants" coming from all Mallorca is held. The holiday ends with a spectacular salute on September 12.
