Tarangire is located in the north-east of Tanzania, on the eastern shore of Lake Manyara, 120 km from the city of Arusha. 75% of the territory of the park is available for visiting visitors, the remaining percent are wild areas where roads are not even laid . By fauna representatives, the park is divided on seven areas in four different zones . Immediately at the entrance is the area of ​​Lemion: a lot of birds, zebra and antelope herds, as well as elephants and leopards . In the depths of the park, across the Engelhard bridge, there are places where an ornithological safari is held: here you can see pelicans and stork in the Marabu . In the heart of Tarangire there are herds of elephants, zebras, buffaloes, hippos and antelopes - the largest in Africa . The ecosystem of the park includes the villages of local residents of Masai who take part in the safari as guides, assistants and conductors, and also observe the preservation of the environment .

In addition to its natural resources, Tarangire can boast of ancient rock paintings in Barabaig, in the vicinity of Kolo or near Dodoma Road.
