"The Feast of Sacrifice" is one of the most important days in the Islamic calendar. He marks the end of the pilgrimage to Mecca and the willingness of Abraham to sacrifice his son to God.

In the Muslim world, the holiday is most known as Eid al-Adha, but it is also called Id-ul-Kabir. The only festival that is approaching spiritual significance is the Id al-Fitr festival on the occasion of the end of Ramadan

In Azerbaijan and Turkey this festival is known as Kurban Bayram. The ritual sacrifice of a goat in the memory of Abraham, who showed his true faith in God, by his willingness to sacrifice his own son, is an integral part of the feast.
