St. Jura Cathedral is located at an altitude of 300 meters above sea level and as if hovering over the city. This Greek-Catholic cathedral is one of the most beautiful examples of Lviv architecture. The building is built in rococo style and decorated with numerous balustrades, capitals and sculptures. In the underground of the cathedral are buried the tombs of famous clergymen.

Cathedral of St. Jura is the most important Greek Catholic church in Lviv. According to the canons, such buildings are not distinguished by splendor and ornaments, but this is their beauty. The temple is soft beige and looks as new as if it had just been built, but in fact it will soon be three hundred years old. From the ornaments it is possible to note the sculptures of the saints famous sculptor Pinzel. Once upon a time I was already preparing to visit the cathedral, but there was not enough time, because it stands in the distance leke from the historical center of Lviv. At the railway station, I arrived very early in the morning, bought a map of the city for 15 hryvnia in a kiosk and studied a cup of coffee with it until it was light.
