The Great Beer Festival in Denver, leading its history since 1982, features an extraordinary variety of intoxicating beverage varieties. The fact that there is the largest range of beer brands here is even recorded in the Guinness Book of Records. More than 300 breweries from all over the US represent their products here
Denver has long been considered a kind of western Munich, and the festival only confirms this title. The Great Beer Festival of the United States was born in 1982, and since then it has been held annually from October 3 to October 5 in Denver, Colorado.
The three-day beer festival attracts more than twenty thousand visitors from all over the Americas. Ironically, it is the USA that is the largest producer of beer in the world (214 hectoliters or 180 million barrels of beer per year). Unlike Europe, most of the American beer is produced not by the heirs of ancient recipes by hand at their miniature breweries, but by giant corporations at huge beer factories.
