Rospotrebnadzor again warns Russian tourists who want to vacation abroad. This time, according to the ministry, the threat, in addition to Ebola, is represented by bird flu, gaining strength in some foreign countries. In particular, many farms suffer from the disease in China, several foci affected by different types of virus have been identified in the country.
In addition, recently there have been numerous cases of transmission of the virus to humans, some of them with a fatal outcome. It is forecasted the emergence of new cases of human infection of avian influenza. However, the situation is under control, and the spread of the disease is not expected.
Nevertheless, Rospotrebnadzor urges tourists to be cautious and, if possible, to avoid contact with birds outside the Russian Federation, and also to not consume inadequately processed poultry meat.
