The Chinese authorities have seriously taken up the street toilets and intend to replace more than 25,000 operating points throughout the country. At present, dry closets in China are no better than those that "please the eye" in many Russian cities.
The Ministry of Tourism of China decided to struggle with dirty and morally obsolete toilets, replacing them with new models. Over the next 3 years, the Chinese government will install over 33,000 modern public toilets across the country. The existing ones will be modernized.
Special attention will be paid to places near popular attractions, where, according to the chairman of the National Tourism Administration of the country, Li Jinjiao, three-star toilets will appear.
