Cholera in Cuba

Cholera epidemic in Cuba flared up last week, but neither the warning from Rospotrebnadzor, nor the explanations of tour operators and travel agents do not stop Russian tourists from a dangerous trip. The tourist flow to Cuba does not decrease.

According to the official information of the Ministry of Health of Cuba, the number of cases was 170, of which three died. The outbreak was identified by Cuban doctors in early July in the eastern part of the island in Manzanillo, Granma Province. In total, more than 3,500 people turned to Cuba for medical help with suspicion of cholera. Cases of illnesses are also registered in the municipal settlements of Nikuero, Jara and Bartolome-Mazo.

Nevertheless, tour operators say that. That none of the tourists got infected due to the local authorities taking all measures to localize the disease.
