Trivandrum's entertainment, excursions and attractions
In the capital of Kerala , the city of Trivandrum is worth visiting the Eastern Fort to take a look at the temple of Sri Padmanabaswamy. The faces of the non-Hindu religion are not allowed inside, but if you come in the morning, you can see how the believers perform ritual ablutions in the pool before the temple. And at the same time to see something unimaginable on the corner of the pool: a tiny altar with a red flag, a sickle, a hammer and a bust of Lenin
To the left of the pool is the entrance to Putan-Malika Palace, also - "The Palace of Thousand Laughing Horses" . Laughing Horses there are really there: they are carved from rosewood and placed along the entire cornice of this giant labyrinth-like building . Also in Trivandrum it is worth to walk to the City Garden - to marvel at trees and flowers unknown to the northern man, and at the same time to walk along the Museum of Decorative and Applied Arts and the zoo . Simultaneously learning the full name of the city - Thiruvananthapuram, that is, "the holy city of the Ananta snake, where Vishnu has the habit of crouching, rocking on the waves of the world's ocean in complete and absolute idleness" .
